Company responsible for international weapon business transactions in the field of " commercial co-ordination " (KoKO) at the Central Committee (CC) of the SED. It became well-known in the days of the changeover through the disclosure of its strictly secret weapons arsenal in Kavelstorf near Rostock (2nd December 1989). With the public disclosure of the commercial weapons transactions, the GDR regime which had always presented itself as "peace-loving" continued to rapidly loose moral credibility. One day later on 3rd December 1989, the politburo and the Central Committee of the SED resigned as a whole.
